So...here is some sample artwork I have done for a comic series called "Red Angel" by What the Flux Comics. I really enjyoed working on this piece, along with another one, which will possibly be used as a promo card sent out with the book. I spoke to one of my former college professors today, and it was quite nice. He encouraged me to continue on with doing what makes me happy (a.k.a. artmaking).

At the moment, my efforts are being put into getting ready for Detroit Fanfare in September. I have almost gotten the money I need to get there and for my hotel! In case anyone decides to actually read this, I am having a sketch sale until all the funds have been acquired.

Yet another beginning.

Here's hoping it sticks this time.

I have always been bad at keeping things updated with text. Uploading images to a gallery, I can do, but for some reason writing down what's going on in my life has never been as easy. With social media being the way it is these days, I don't want to spend the time updating my social networking sites, newsletter, ebay store and online journal then go on to update a blog. However, I do feel that keeping track of your thoughts is important. I know that writing down what you feel can help you get a grasp on the "big picture" in a situation, so I think I will try to do this.

I'll most likely be talking about artwork here...a lot. As you may have seen, from my fabulous title and description, I am a freelance artist (who has other jobs as well, none of which I really want to write about on the regular). Though things got off to a very slow start with my freelancing career, I have been surprised to see things pick up of late. Pleasantly surprised, certainly. I love doing this work, so be prepared to hear more about it.
